Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Novo North platform (the "Service") provided by Novo Industries, Inc. ("Novo North"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our .

You agree not to use the Service — directly or through AI agents — for any of the purposes described below.


1. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to create, store, transmit, or distribute:

  • Content that is illegal under applicable law
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits minors
  • Content that promotes or incites violence, terrorism, or hatred against individuals or groups
  • Harassment, threats, intimidation, or bullying directed at any person
  • Malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious code
  • Content designed to deceive or defraud others
  • Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others without authorization
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated synthetic intimate imagery of real individuals
  • Content that promotes, encourages, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide

2. Prohibited AI Uses

You may not use AI agents or the Service's AI capabilities to:

  • Develop, produce, or acquire weapons, dangerous materials, or controlled substances
  • Engage in fraud, impersonation, or social engineering attacks
  • Create deepfakes or synthetic media intended to deceive or harm
  • Conduct unauthorized surveillance, tracking, or monitoring of individuals
  • Generate or distribute disinformation, propaganda, or misleading content at scale
  • Circumvent, disable, or undermine AI safety measures or content policies
  • Generate spam or unsolicited bulk communications
  • Present AI-generated output as human-created without appropriate disclosure, or impersonate real individuals without their consent
  • Disrupt or attempt to disrupt critical infrastructure, including power grids, water systems, financial systems, transportation networks, medical devices, or election systems
  • Generate personalized political campaign content, voter suppression materials, or deceptive electoral communications
  • Build facial recognition databases, biometric categorization systems, or emotion recognition systems for use in workplaces or educational settings
  • Provide legal, medical, financial, or tax advice to third parties without clearly disclosing that the output is AI-generated and should not substitute for qualified professional consultation

3. Prohibited Automated Decisions

You may not use the Service to make or substantially inform consequential decisions about individuals in the following areas without meaningful human oversight and clear disclosure to affected individuals:

  • Employment and hiring: Screening, evaluating, or making decisions about job applicants or employees
  • Credit and lending: Assessing creditworthiness or making lending decisions
  • Housing: Evaluating rental or purchase applications
  • Insurance: Determining coverage, pricing, or claims
  • Criminal justice and law enforcement: Predictive policing, risk assessment, surveillance, sentencing, parole, or bail determinations
  • Healthcare: Medical diagnosis, treatment recommendations, triage, clinical decision support, or mental health assessments
  • Education: Academic admissions, grading, disciplinary decisions, or standardized test evaluations

When using the Service in these areas with appropriate human oversight, you must clearly disclose to affected individuals that AI is being used in the decision-making process.

4. Children's Data in Public Applications

If you use the Service to build applications or Apps accessible to the general public, you are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws regarding data collection from minors, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions. The platform's minimum age requirement applies to account holders, not end users of published applications.

5. Infrastructure and Security

You may not:

  • Attempt to escape, breach, or circumvent agent compute isolation or tenancy boundaries
  • Access, probe, or attack other Organizations' data, infrastructure, or agents
  • Circumvent billing controls, usage limits, or metering mechanisms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, its systems, or networks
  • Use the Service to conduct denial-of-service attacks or other disruptive activities against the Service or any third party
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or index the Service in a manner that exceeds normal use
  • Use compute resources for cryptocurrency mining, proof-of-work computation, or other resource-intensive activities unrelated to your use of the Service
  • Resell, sublicense, or make the Service available to unauthorized third parties, or operate proxy or VPN services using Service infrastructure
  • Use the Service in violation of applicable export control or economic sanctions laws

6. Enforcement

We enforce this AUP through a graduated response:

  1. Warning: For first-time or minor violations, we may issue a written warning with guidance on remediation
  2. Suspension: For repeated or serious violations, we may temporarily suspend your access to the Service
  3. Termination: For severe or continued violations, we may permanently terminate your account

Immediate termination may occur without prior warning for violations involving illegal activity, CSAM, threats of violence, or conduct that poses an imminent risk to the safety of others or the integrity of the Service.

No refunds will be issued for accounts terminated due to violations of this AUP.

Content moderation. We reserve the right to review, restrict, or remove content and AI-generated outputs that violate this AUP, with or without notice.

Reporting abuse: If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to . We review reports and take appropriate action.

Appeals: If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal by contacting within 30 days.

Mandatory reporting. We are required by law to report apparent violations involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities.
